Horses

Caring for horses, riding them, and braiding their tails is a fun way for us take a break from life's stresses.  When we meet, we work with these exquisite animals and it empowers us in our personal relationships, teaches us how to be clear communicators, and how to be both strong and gentle simultaneously.

Creativity

Creating art is good for our hearts.  We experience God's creative nature when making something new.  Joy and adventure wells up through the process.  We get to visually meditate on the beauty in nature all around us when doing Plein Air painting in the fields, and by the lake.

True Stories

The wildest stories are often true.  We love to learn about each other's life experiences, faith journeys, and how God has moved in our lives personally.  The Bible has some of the most amazing-craziest-wild-stories-ever.  God's Word is alive and active, powerful to change lives for good.

How it works

Students accepted to our ten week long semester programs, gather in a small group with our mentors for weekly sessions at a horse farm.   We offer spring and fall semesters.

During our sessions we spend time together around the farm participating in various outdoor activities such as caring for the horses, going on nature walks, riding, and doing creative art projects.  Our mentors and speakers share with students true stories of hope, struggle, and transformation.  Every week we learn more about God's love for us.

Students

Our programs are designed to serve students in middle school and high school, who would benefit from a loving community of healthy friends and mentors.

Here are some qualities that grow in our students throughout the semester:
  • Confidence, faith, patience
  • Gentleness, peace, honesty
  • Joy, self-worth, dignity
God sees in us who we will become. Together we grow in an atmosphere of encouragement and love, and yes we have a lot of fun with horses and creative projects while we're at it!
"...where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom."
