Volunteer Opportunities
Though not a complete list, following are a few volunteer role descriptions:
Speakers
In this role a person comes to share their personal testimony of faith with a group of students and mentors. Sharing a story lasts for about thirty minutes, please plan to be with us for about an hour.
Art Teachers
This role requires approximately 1.5 hours per week during a semester. We also welcome someone to try it out one week as a visiting artist, to see if they are interested in continuing in the future.
Horse Helpers
You will be helping with grooming, tacking, and side walking during student riding lessons. Training will be provided for interested volunteers.
Mentors
This role requires a general commitment of approximately three to four hours per week during the ten week semester, as well as approximately two training sessions with the volunteer team before a semester begins.
Student Art Interns
Qualified high school students may apply to gain internship experience. Roles include but are not limited to: developing art lesson plans + teaching guided art lessons, while earning volunteer hours. GR will provide time sheets to track and document hours. Supervision will be under an adult art teacher.
